Name: Joseph Bernard Betsch, 79 of Palmer Twp. passed away Tuesday July 20, 2010 at home. Born: He was born on June 20, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY a son of the late Robert and Josephine Rizzo Betsch. Personal: Joseph was employed by American Cyanamid retiring in 1993. He served our country in the US Army during the Korean War where he received a purple heart. Memberships: Joseph was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Palmer Twp. He also was a member of the Brown and Lynch Post 9 in Palmer Twp. Survivors: Joseph is survived by his soul mate Elizabeth Caruso with whom he resided, daughter Jacqueline Rogers of Greer, SC; step daughters Nancy Schiffl of Greer, SC, Annmarie Miller of Pittstown, NJ, son-in-laws Dave Schiffl, Rich Miller, a sister Marianne Dickt of Bethlehem Twp, brothers Robert Betsch of Long Island and Philip Betsch of Easton, MD; grandchildren Rachel Caruso and Madison Miller and many nieces and nephews. Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and Monday from 8:30am until 9:30am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00am at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave. Palmer Twp. Interment will be private.
