Joseph A. Curto, 85, of Easton, PA, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 in his home.
Joseph was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Antonio and Louigina (Indorato) Curto.
Joseph was married to the former LaRue Williamson. He was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1948. Joseph was a head clerk for Acme Markets for 40 years in the Easton Area, and later was the proprietor of Bassett Cleaners of Easton until his retirement in 2001. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Joseph was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Order Sons of Italy in America, and the American Legion Post 9 Lester Pfeffer.
In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his sons A. Scott Curto and wife Kelly of Coopersburg, PA, Joseph A. Curto Jr. and wife Karen of Findlay, OH; a step-son William Stem III and wife Joan of Easton; grandchildren Tyler S. Curto, Samuel J. Curto, Nicholas S. Curto, Lanie Stem and Nolan Stem. He is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Tricoli, Michelina Curto; and a brother Steve Curto.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery.
