Joseph A. Cuvo, Jr., 82, of Easton passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital Warren campus. Born in Easton on May 23, 1942 he was a son of the late Valeria (Kuzen) and Joseph A. Cuvo, Sr.
He was a graduate of Easton High School class of 1960. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Marines. A dedicated firefighter for the City of Easton, Joe bravely served the community for 26 years. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church and the Marine Corp League Northampton County Detachment 298. He was on several city boards including the City of Easton Recreation Board and the Civil Service Board. Joe was responsible for the Memorial Day parade and other local veteran events. He received the Veteran of the Year award in 2015. Joe also enjoyed growing and cultivating fig trees; taking great pride in how they looked and grew. He was an avid reader taking every chance he could to delve into a good book. He was an excellent cook of Italian cuisine and a DIEHARD NY Yankees fan!
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan (Wilhelm) Cuvo; children, Nicole Cuvo; Joseph A. Cuvo III and his wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Calogero and his wife, Alyssa, Giovani, Joseph IV, Alexa, and Michael; great grandchildren, Mia Bella, Luca, and Aanyla; sister, Alice Mae Loebsack; brother, Anthony J. Cuvo and his wife, Michelle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Traci Jo Cuvo and brother Robert C. Cuvo.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service. Interment is private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joseph's name may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
