Joseph A. Franco, Sr., 91, of Easton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Born in Easton on January 5, 1931 he was a son of the late Anthony and Rose (Turdo) Franco. He graduated from Easton High School. He married the love of his life, Marie (Citrone) Franco on December 30, 1956 and celebrated 61 years of marriage until her passing in August of 2018. Joe worked as a butcher at R&R Meat Provisions for over 20 years, retiring in 1992.

He was a man of strong faith and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Joe's love of jazz music encouraged him to learn to play the saxophone and he would later play for Pete's Pets Quartet. He liked to spend time outside doing yard work, gardening or working on his cars. Joseph's greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, Joseph Anthony Franco, Jr. of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Christopher Charles Franco of Easton, Stephen Michael Franco and his wife Snehal of Palmer Twp.; grandchildren, Brandon Franco and his wife Sara, Joseph A. Franco III and his wife Ana, Benjamin Franco, Lindsey Lockwood and her husband Chris, Christopher Joseph Franco, Pooja Peters and her husband Eric, Stephen Franco; great grandchildren, Codey, Sebastian, Carlyle, River, Ethan, Priya, Joseph A. Franco IV, Julian, Emma, Liev, Will, Jacob, and Reese.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a sister Anna Nick and brothers, Pat Franco, Sam Franco, and Pat Iudicello.

Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton (Palmer Twp.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 2, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9 ^th and Lehigh Streets, Easton.
