Joseph L. Gerbino, 91 of Palmer Twp., passed away Tuesday January 14, 2014 in Manor Care Health Services, Palmer. Born: He was born on March 16, 1922 in Easton a son of the late Russell and Rosalie Cuvo Gerbino. Personal: Joseph was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Kathryn Hawk in 1980. He was employed as a machinist for the former Lehigh Foundry and later for Victaulic of Easton retiring in 1984. He also was the co-owner of the Live Wire Bar in Easton for many years. Joseph was a graduate of Easton High School class of 1939. He proudly served our country in the US Navy during WWII. Memberships: He was an active member of the Easton-Phillipsburg YMCA and the Center for Vision Loss of Allentown and the St. Anthony Holy Name Society. He enjoyed fishing at his cabin, all sports and especially spending time with his family. Survivors: Joseph is survived by his children Loraine Brennan and husband Kevin of Easton, John J. Gerbino and wife Diana of Palmer Twp., Raymond and wife Toni of Wilson Boro, grandchildren; Eric, Miranda, Ryan, Matthew and Katie Brennan, Shawn Godown, Ashley Ruge and Dr. Jeffrey Gerbino, Joey, Jenna and Nina Gerbino and four great grandchildren. Sisters Olive Roccaro, Annette Pearce and a brother Samuel Gerbino preceded Joseph in death. Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and also Saturday morning from 11:15 am until 12:15 pm in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 1:00 pm in St. Anthonys Church, 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
