Joseph C. Massey, Sr., 86, of Easton, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, in his home surrounded by family.

Born in Alpha, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Rose (Somogyi) Massie. He graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1954. Joseph worked many jobs throughout his life but most notably was his time spent at Central Supermarket in New Jersey.

Joseph was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching thriller movies, WWE wrestling, and sports on TV, especially any Cleveland teams. His favorite pastime outside was gardening.

He is survived by his wife, with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage on January 11th, Elizabeth (Carrescia) Massey; sons, Joseph C. Massey, Jr., Brian A. Massey both of Easton, Michael J. Massey of Wilson Borough; daughters, Stephanie A. Tamborelli, Jennifer L. Malitzki both of Bethlehem Twp.; grandchildren, "Bo", Sam, Tiffany, Junior, Tori, Hailee, Jayden, and Tyler; and a great granddaughter, Mackenzie.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, James "Ness" Massey and Roy Massey.
