Joseph A. Noto, Jr., 73, of Forks Township, PA and Fort Myers, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 14, 1953, in Easton, PA, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph A. and Ann (Conzalaro) Noto. He graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1971. In August 1987, he married the love of his life, Catherine (Eldridge).
Joseph worked as a Construction and Maintenance Technician for the New Jersey Department of Transportation. A devout man, he was a member of both Saint Philip and Saint James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg, NJ, and St. Therese Catholic Church in North Fort Myers, FL. He was also an active member of the YMIA Club in Phillipsburg.
Joseph found immense joy in life’s simple pleasures—sharing a good meal with family, birthday cake, spending time at the Jersey Shore, and going out to dinner with friends. He had a natural warmth and made friends wherever he went. Known as a master storyteller, his family and friends treasured his detailed, dramatic delivery. Joseph also loved impromptu karaoke sessions singing Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin classics, the excitement of chasing fire trucks, and showing off his vast knowledge of history and sports while watching Jeopardy! Above all, he deeply cherished his wife, daughter, granddaughters, and sister.
In addition to his beloved wife, Catherine, he is survived by daughter Tanya Garren and her husband Patrick, granddaughter Hailey Garren and her fiancé Jordan Spevak, granddaughter Ellie Anna Garren, sister Roseann LaFisca and husband Thomas, brother-in-law Leonard Eldridge and wife Darlene and brother-in law Marshall Eldridge.
