Joseph Paul Presto, Sr., 94, of Easton, PA passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Pietro and Frances (Lipari) Presto.
Joseph was married to Consiglia (Grillo) Presto until her passing in 2016. He was an active member of St. Anthony's of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Easton. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society, a former president, and Man of the Year. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and past District Governor of Serra Club International during which he was invited to a private reception with His Holiness Pope John Paul II. He proudly served in the United States Merchant Marine and was recognized by President Truman. Joseph enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling and volunteering for several organizations in his spare time.
Joseph is survived by a son, Joseph Paul Presto, Jr. and Michelle Rogul of Philadelphia; daughters, Frances Ann McInerney and husband John of Saylorsburg, Linda Kardos and husband Art of Emmaus, Deborah LoPresti Graves and husband Richard of Easton and Pamela Bittman and husband Mace of Palmer Twp.; six grandchildren, Jason McInerney, Joshua Fulmer, Melissa Probert, Sarah McInerney, Andrew Kardos and Ava Presto; five great grandchildren, Jack, Maddie and Kate McInerney, Evelyn Probert and Oliver Fulmer; brothers Vincent and Anthony Presto. He is preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Presto and brothers, Carmelo Presto, Phillip Presto and Rocco Presto and sister Mary Merlo.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with an additional calling hour on Wednesday from 8:15-9:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Williams Twp.
