Josephine (Falzon) Cassar, 102, of Easton, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at St. Lukes Hospital Anderson Campus. Born in Detroit, MI on December 10, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Savior and Theresa (Grech) Falzon.

Our Mother, Josephine Cassar, was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was always there when anyone needed her. She enjoyed playing the piano, loved to sing and was in church choirs, and really enjoyed her time with many friends. Josephine was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church and of the Autumn Club in Bethlehem, PA. She married the love of her life, Michael Cassar and together they celebrated 66 years of marriage until his passing in 2007. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Europe, Australia, and back to Malta where she was raised as a young girl during World War II. She returned to the United States in 1952 with five of her children.

She was predeceased by our Dad, Michael Cassar, sisters, Carrie Galea, Judith Azzopardi, brothers John Falzon and Harold Falzon. She is survived by her children Sal and Lori Cassar, Edwin and Eileen Cassar, Charles and Sherry Cassar, Irene and James Calamia, Margarite Cassar, and John and Lynn Cassar and her 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) An additional calling hour will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). Entombment will follow at Holy Savior Cemetery, Bethlehem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Josephine's name to EWTN 5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL 35210.
