Josephine M. Matyger, 98, of Wilmington, Delaware (formally of Easton, PA) slipped into heaven on November 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born almost 99 years ago to the day, in Easton, PA to the late Joseph and Benedetta (Maragulia) Amato, one of six children.

Josephine went on to marry William J. Matyger Sr. and together they built a life that lasted over 65 years before William was called home. A proud homemaker all her life, Josies greatest love was cooking and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, of Easton, the Sacred Heart Sodality and a beloved church volunteer. Josies strong faith was evident in all aspects of her life.

Josephine is survived by her sons William J. Matyger Jr. and his wife Adrianna, of Pittsburg, PA, and Allan Matyger and his wife Jane, of Newark, DE.; grandchildren: Mark, Allan Jr., Jeffrey, David and Kevin Matyger, great grandchildren Miana, Jackson, Mollie, Luka, and Giuliana Matyger.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, (Palmer Twp.) PA 18045. A Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church located at 9th and Lehigh Street in Easton. Interment will follow at St. Anthonys Cemetery, in Williams Twp., PA.
