Josephine T. Glory Smith of Phillipsburg and Avalon, NJ passed away on July 22, 2022 in her home surrounded by her children after a brief illness.

Josephine was born in Easton, PA on February 22, 1930 and was a daughter of the late Antonino and Placida (Picone) Glory who migrated to Easton, PA from Castel Di Lucio, Sicily.  She was a graduate of Easton High School, Class of 1947 where she served as a class officer and on the reunion committee.

Josephine was the wife of the late Harold A. Smith, Jr. with whom she celebrated 46 years of marriage before his passing on March 7, 2000.  She was an amazing matriarch who was loved by her family.

She was a member of St. Philip and James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg, NJ and a former member of the San Placido Society of St. Anthony of Padua Church of Easton, PA.

Josephine is survived by her sons: Thomas R. of Avalon, NJ; William E. and wife Carol of Danielsville, PA; Joseph P. and his wife Lisa of Danielsville, PA; and Stephen A. and significant other Caroline Kirk of Phillipsburg, NJ; daughters: JoAnn O'Donnell and her husband Cornelius of Levittown, PA; Judy Macknis and her husband Mark of Walnutport, PA and Mary Etta Sortino and her husband Salvatore of Easton, PA; sister Antoinette Trapani of Easton, PA.  She was adored by her 18 grandchildren: Holly; Jessica; Connor John; Ryan; Katelynn; Drew; Alycia; Colin; Stephanie; Madison; Adam; Aaron; Samuel; Marc; Nathan; Isabelle; Leigha and Joshua as well as 10 great grandchildren; 7 nephews and 4 nieces.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son: Harold A, III; sisters: Anna Vigilanti; Frances and Grace Glory; and brothers: James and Joseph Glory.

Calling hours are Friday, July 29, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Township).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 30, 2022 in Saint Philip & James Catholic Church, 430 South Main Street, Phillipsburg, NJ at 10:00 am.  Interment will be private.
