Name: Josephine M. Spagnola, 85, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 in her home. Born: Josephine was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Jenny Burgio. Personal: Josephine was married to James Spagnola Sr. for 59 wonderful years, before his passing in 2009. She was a graduate of Wilson High School, class of 1946. Josephine was a hair stylist for Mr. Nicks of Easton, then she was a receptionist for Elegante Salon of Wilson Boro, and later, worked in sales for the former Pomeroys department store. Lastly, she was a receptionist for Cowell Real Estate, before retiring in 1990. Throughout her marriage she was supportive of the many organizations her husband was involved in for the Palmer Twp. and Easton communities. Memberships: Josephine was member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Survivors: Josephine is survived by a son James J. Spagnola, Jr. and wife Eve of Richboro, PA; a daughter Maria J. LaValva and husband Michael of Palmer Twp.; grandchildren Antonio, and Alexa; her caregiver of many years, Brenda Hall. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a sister Lucy Nicolosi; brothers Dominick and Richard Burgio. Services: Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also Tuesday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
