Josephine M. Starniri, 93, of Bethlehem Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 in her home. Born: Josephine was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, a daughter of the late Ignatzio and Mary (Gazzana) Arangio. Personal: Josephine was married to Ernest Turk Starniri, Sr., before his passing in 2006. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, class of 1939. Josephine was a self-employed hairdresser. She enjoyed entertaining all of her friends. Memberships: Josephine was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, the Holy Cross Auxiliary, and Easton Hospital Senior Circle. Survivors: Josephine is survived by a son Ernest Turk Starniri, Jr. and his wife Doreen Templeton of Bethlehem; nephews Dr. George Arangio and wife Judith, James Squarcia and wife Jackie; and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters Anna Martinelli, Rose Squarcia; brothers Alfonso, Joseph, Angelo, Louis, and Anthony Arangio. Services: A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in the church. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
