Josephine T. Symia, 92, formerly of Palmer Township died Friday, April 17, 2020. She was the widow of the Joseph A. Symia who died in 1989.
Born in Easton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (George) Simon.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Easton, a founding member of the church choir and a member of St. Theresa Sodality at the church. She was a member of the former Lebanese American Women's Association.
Josephine was a devoted wife and mother. She treasured the time spent with her granddaughter and great grandchildren. Her family, friends and her church were her world.
Survivors: Children, Anthony J. Symia and his wife Nancy of Delray Beach, FL and Marcine Symia Solliday and her husband Michael of Palmer Twp.; granddaughter, Tanya Symia Lynch and her husband Adam of Boca Raton, FL; great grandchildren, Kate and Mason; sister, Queenie Kratzer of Nazareth; nephews; nieces. She was predeceased by her son John J. Symia in 1975 and siblings, Karam Simon, Mary Tony, Bessie Simon and Sara Staszewski.
A Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday, October, 17, 2020 at 5:00 pm in Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4 th & Ferry Streets, Easton, PA. Masks and social distancing is expected. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com.
