Joshua Blakemore Parris, 42, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest. Born on January 20, 1980 in New York, NY, he was the son of Frederic J. and the late Lisa (Shown) Parris. Joshua was a graduate of Easton Area High School, class of 1998. He attended Northampton Community College and Eastern University before beginning his employment at GEODIS LLC in Breinigsville.

Josh has been described by friends as an extraordinary person: funny, smart, talented, and kind. He was a music enthusiast; he played multiple instruments, sang, and composed his own work. As a kidney cancer survivor, he made new friends with other survivors and with them became an avid outdoorsman, engaging in adventures such as swimming, kayaking, and camping. At home, his hobbies included cooking, bread making, and interacting with other amateur radio operators. Josh was a movie buff who could recite entire scenes from movies and incorporate lines into his everyday life, especially from Star Wars. He loved to immerse himself in reading history, both real and fictional, and sci-fi. He had a close circle of friends with whom he spent time in friendly gaming competitions.  Josh embraced his Celtic heritage by wearing kilts, researching his ancestry, and traveling to festivals in the area.

In addition to his father, Frederic, Joshua is survived by his stepmother, Kathryn (Bussie) Parris; sisters, Jaimeson Hatch and her husband, Jeremy of Anchorage, AK, Johanna Parris-Greeff and her husband, Jade of Sandston, VA, Jessica Parris and her fiancé, Tim Loch of Easton, PA; stepbrothers, Dan Bussie of Lakeville, MN, John Bussie of Annandale, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. Online condolences may be made at www.morellofuneralhome.com .
