Name: Oliver A. Beahm, Jr. 83 of Palmer Twp., PA passed away Tuesday December 29, 2009 in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born: He was born on February 16, 1926 in Freemansburg, PA a son of the late Oliver A. and Ida Searfass Beahm, Sr. Personal: Oliver and his wife, the former Jessie Elsie E. Martin celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in August. He was employed as a straightener operator for Bethlehem Steel for 43 years retiring in 1988. Oliver served our country in the US Navy during WWII. Memberships: He was a member of St. Andrews Evangelical Lutheran Church in Palmer Twp, where he was a charter member. Oliver was also a member of the American Legion and a founding member of the Suburban EMS. Survivors: In addition to his wife Elsie, Oliver is survived by daughters Gale M. Eppler and husband Richard of Palmer Twp., Deborah Kies and husband Bradley of Spartenburg, SC; sisters Margaret Valone of Coppersburg, PA, Elva Miller of Quakertown, PA; grandchildren Amy Brandon, Bradley Kies, Joshua Kies; great grandchildren Cade Brandon, Jacob Kies, Haley Kies and his loving dog Mitzi. Sisters Mary Kupetz, Martha Beahm, Lillie Vasko and brothers Paul and Earl Beahm preceded Oliver in death. Services: Services will be private.
