Name: Joseph Chic Nolasco, Jr, 85, of Easton, passed away on Monday November 14th in Easton Hospital. Born: Joseph was born on June 4, 1926, in Easton, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Frances Marie Manieri Nolasco, Sr. Personal: Joseph was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service from 1954-1988, and also part time as a Wilson Borough police officer for 44 years before retiring in 2010. He served in the US Navy during World War II as Seaman 1st Class. He was a graduate of Wilson High School, class of 1947, after his Military service. He was scheduled to graduate in 1945 but enlisted in the Navy prior to his scheduled graduation. He coached Wilson Borough Legion Baseball for 12 seasons. He was elected to the Northampton County American Legion Hall of Fame in 2004. Memberships: Joseph was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, the National Association of Letter Carriers #389, past Steward, Chief Steward, Vice President, and President of the Wilson Borough Police Association, and he was a Wilson High School Football Captain in 1944. Survivors: Joseph is survived by his cat Bailey, his son, Jim Nolasco and his wife Dottie of Wilson Borough, with whom he resided; sons Joseph Nolasco, III and his wife Nancy of Lexington, KY, Gino Nolasco and his wife Mariecord of Wilson Borough; daughter Tina Bowlby and her husband Timothy of Wildwood, NJ; step-sons Christopher Billman of Ypsilanti, MI, David Billman of Los Angeles, CA; brother Patrick Nolasco of Wilson Borough; grandchildren Joseph Paul Nolasco, Ceyenne Bowlby, Benjamin Nolasco, Paul Bowlby, Bria Young, James Nicholas Nolasco; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Germaine Smith Nolasco; his long time companion of 30 years Sandra E. Dietzel Billman; and a brother Anthony Nolasco. Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and also Thursday 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
