Name: Joseph Ponak, Jr., 81 of Quakertown, formerly of Easton and Bethlehem, passed away Saturday ,February 6, 2010, in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born: He was born on December 8, 1928, in Easton, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Trombitas Ponak, Sr. Personal: Joseph and his wife, the former Concetta Nancy Mancino, celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in June. He was employed as a supervisor for Mack Printing Co. for 42 years until his retirement. Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and gardening. He proudly served our country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Memberships: Joseph was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Mora Club in Bethlehem for many years. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by sons Joseph III of Easton, a daughter Joanne Ponak of Greenwood Twp., PA, Richard and wife Joan of Quakertown, PA; grandchildren Michelle and husband Sal Famularo, Stephanie and husband Jason Frederickson, Charles Bell and wife Stephanie, Anna and husband Tom Shively, Jason Bell, Kirsten, Kaelene, and Taylor Ponak and great grandchildren Tyler and Jayden Bell, Makensie Bell, Luca and Niko Famularo, Emma and Julia Frederickson. Services: Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Friday from 8:15 am until 9:15 am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp., PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Bernards Oratory, 132 So. 5th St. Easton, PA. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery.
