Joseph A. Vangeli, Jr., 64, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Easton Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Joseph was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Joseph A. Vangeli Sr. and Jeanette (Ference) Vangeli, and is survived by his step-mother Sandra (Sullivan) Vangeli.

Joseph was married to the former Elaine Piro, with whom he celebrated 41 years of marriage last November. He was a graduate of Warren Technical School. He was a Research Technician for Colgate Palmolive in Piscataway, NJ. Joe lived for his wife, children, grandchildren and hunting in the Poconos with his son Matthew.

He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife and step-mother, Joseph is survived by his sons Christopher Vangeli and wife Karin of Palmer Twp., Matthew Vangeli and wife Tracey of Palmer Twp.; a daughter Alyssa Vangeli Kline and husband Chad of Fountain Hill; sisters Gena Santini, Jennie Dixon, Roseanne Alwell; grandchildren Lina, Noah, Lucas, Haylee, Harrison, Macey and Mason.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an additional calling hour on Tuesday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
