Obituary

Juliann M. Kopas, 89, of Northampton, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at County Meadows Bethlehem. Born in Rossiter, PA on January 9, 1936 she was a daughter of the late John A. and Rosalia Cekovsky.

She graduated from Punxsutawney High School. She married the late George B. Kopas and enjoyed 53 years of wedded bliss. Juliann was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Allentown Diocesan Choir who sang for Pope John Paul in Rome. She was a social member of the Knights of Columbus Easton, the Bethlehem Steel Club, and Silver Sneakers. She volunteered her time at Easton Hospital. Juliann enjoyed making ceramics and Ukrainian eggs.

She is survived by her daughter, Rosann Kopas; son, George E. Kopas; grandchildren, Justin Kopas, Nichole Kopas, Scott Kopas, Grace Kopas, and Julia Rose Kopas.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Stoyek, Mary Marince, Elizabeth Cekovsky; brothers, John Cekovsky, and Mike Cekovsky.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Juliann's name may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Road, Bethlehem, PA 18020. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com
