June M. Kasarda, 78, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 in Easton Hospital.

June was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Mafalda (Ricci) Chiavetta.

June was married to Andrew Kasarda until his passing in 2015. She was a secretary for the University of Iowa and later Northampton Community College before retiring in 2004. June enjoyed baking, cooking, traveling, her grandchildren, and Friday Night family gatherings. June strongly valued her family traditions. She enjoyed many friends, whom she treasured dearly. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

June is survived by a son Gregory Zehnder and wife Debbie; daughters Jill Ilagan and husband Gregg, Rae Anne DeNardo and husband Scott; a brother Salvatore Budd Chiavetta and wife Janice; grandchildren Adam and Lauren Zehnder, Sydney and Halle DeNardo, Brandon and Kennedy Ilagan; great-grandchildren Emery Ginter and Gwendolyn Zehnder.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with an additional calling on Friday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 4th & Lehigh Streets, Easton. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp.
