Name. Karam J. Simon, 88, of Easton, PA passed away Wednesday July 8, 2009 in the Easton Hospital. Born: Karam was born July 7, 1921 in Easton, PA, a son of the late John and Mary (George) Simon. Personal: He was the husband of Mary (Leicha) Simon, celebrating 60 years of marriage this past March 29th. He was employed as a machine operator at the former Lehigh Foundry in West Easton, retiring many years ago. He was dedicated to the Lebanese community and to serving his church where he was a member of the churchs Holy Name Society. Memberships: He was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4th & Ferry Streets, Easton, PA. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Karam is survived by his children; Joann Simon at home, Lila Dale and her husband James of Forks Twp., John Simon and his wife Suzanne of Palmer Twp., Karen Baurkot and husband Raymond of Palmer Twp.; Sisters, Mary Tony of Easton, Sara Staszewski of Nazareth, PA, Josephine Symia of Easton, Queenie Kratzer of Nazareth, PA; Grandchildren, Jesse, Jonathan, Jaclyn, John, Lisha, Joseph; Great Grandchildren, Kyleen, Azaria, Jacob, Joshua, Jack, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister Bessie Simon. Services: Calling Hours will be held on Thursday from 3:00 until 4:00 pm in the Morello Funeral Home and also 6:00 until 8:00 pm in the church with Prayer of the Incense at 7:00 pm in the church. An additional calling hour will be held Friday from 8:15 until 9:15 in the Morello Funeral Home 3720 Nicholas Street Palmer Twp. followed a 10:00 am Divine Liturgy in the Church. Interment will be in the Gethsemane Cemetery Palmer Twp.
