Name: Katherine Howard, 98 of Easton passed away Friday March 13, 2009 in Triumph Hospital, Wilson Boro. Born: She was born on March 6, 1911 in Providence, RI a daughter of the late Isacc and Nahia Shumar Bedway. Personal: Katherine was employed as a laboratory technician for Binney & Smith of Easton retiring in 1982. Memberships: She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Easton. She also was a member of the St. Theresa Sodality and the Binney & Smith 25 year Club. Survivors: Katherine is survived by 2 nephews, Joseph and Maurice Simon both of Campsie, Australia and a niece Marlene Bedway of Easton with whom she resided and several great nieces and nephews. Sisters Sherri Barakat, Emily Simon and a brother Joseph I. Bedway preceded Katherine in death. Services: Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 7:00pm until 9:00pm with prayer of the incense at 8:00pm in the church. An additional calling hour will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00am until 10:00am in Our Lady of Lebanon Church, 4th and Ferry Streets in Easton. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am in the church. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp. Arrangements are under the direction of the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp.
