Larry Hugh Rowlands, 67. Of Palmer Township, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born in Northampton, PA a son of the late Hugh and Olivia (Redline) Rowlands. Larry was a graduate of Slatington High School, the class of 1967. He was married to Donna (Zito) Rowlands, with whom he celebrated 40 years of marriage last April 4th. He was a car salesman and a bus driver for Lanta. He retired from Lanta in 2010. Larry enjoyed RC car racing, oldies music, model trains and loved playing pinnacle with his friends. He was a New England Patriots fan and a Nascar fan, Jimmy Johnson was his favorite driver. In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his son John Michael Mellon and his wife Jennifer, of Bangor, PA and 4 grandchildren: Brittany, Kayla, Samantha, and Aubrey. He is preceded in death by a brother Terry Rowlands. Calling hour will be held on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm in the Morello Funeral Home Inc. 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA (Palmer twp.).
