Lee R. Miller, 91, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away peacefully in her home with many loved ones at her side on Thursday, December 14, 2017 after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.
Lee was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, a daughter of the late Giacinto and Santa (LaVecchia) Pizzari.
Lee was married to the love of her life, Edward P. Miller for 58 wonderful years before his passing in 2013. She worked for the Korp & Tirell Insurance Company in Philipsburg, NJ as an Executive Secretary for several years before retiring to become a full-time Mom. She handled that role with great devotion and enthusiasm, always putting the needs of her family before her own. As her children grew older, she was able to expand her horizons, becoming involved in a variety of activities such as Meals on Wheels and as a Room Mother, helping out at St. Jane Frances de Chantal School. She absolutely loved plants and flowers and her home was always beautifully adorned with her colorful creations both inside and out. Lee was always shopping in stores of all kinds, getting plenty of exercise in the process and probably contributing greatly to her longevity. She was a great cook and spoiled all of us with her many delightful dishes, especially the Italian Cuisine, as a tribute to her heritage. Her potato salad was the Worlds Greatest, bar none! She loved entertaining family and friends and made Thanksgiving and Christmas extra special events to look forward to for all of us every single year. Those holidays will never be quite the same without her. Lee had all sorts of friends and always saw the good in everyone. She had a wonderful way of making all of us feel better when times were tough. Her vision was clearly focused on the bright side of everything. Mom, we love and miss you more than youll ever know. You were the best Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Sibling, and Friend that anyone could ask for. But we are joyous in the knowledge that you are reunited in Heaven with Dad and, of course, with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Pleasant journeys to our Special Angel!
Lee is survived by her sons, Brian E. Miller of Palmer Twp., Mark E. Miller and his wife Geralyn M. Kasman Miller of Bethlehem, her daughter, Lisa M. Harris and her husband Kevin of Palmer Twp., grandsons John M. Embardino Jr. of Easton, Victor T. Embardino and his girlfriend Erica Kostura of Easton, and grandson Kyle S. Kasman of Bethlehem, and a sister, Betty Riehl and her husband Richard of Easton, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, a brother Philip A.
