Obituary

Leon P. Sardegna, 80, of Palmer Twp., passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 in Easton Hospital.

Born : Leon was born in Scranton, PA, a son of the late Paul and Concetta Sardegna.

Personal: Leon was married to the former Ada Mae Yoch for 15 years on February 8th. He was a Business Agent for ILGWU UNITE, before retiring in 1993. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War as a flight mechanic.

Memberships: Leon was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Easton. He served on the Democratic Committee, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels through Trinity Episcopal Church in Easton. He was an avid Cubs fan since his childhood.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Leon is survived by a daughter Stephanie Abruzzese of Wilson Boro; a step-daughter Ann Louise Watson-Yoch of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren Michael and Stephen Abruzzese; step-grandchild Angela Watson; and a step-great-grandchild Bradley Allen. He is preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth (Scarito) Sardegna in 1992.

Services: Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 8:45 am to 10:45 am in the church. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am by the Rev. Canon Andrew T. Gerns in Trinity Episcopal Church, 234 Spring Garden Street, Easton, PA. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
