Les G. Gara, 81, passed away on March 13, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. Born on September 28, 1943, in Raritan, NJ, he was the son of the late George and Anne (Calicchio) Gara.

In addition to his parents, Les was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Christine (Fiore) Gara.

After graduating from Somerville High School, Les proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the submarine USS Ronquil. Following his military service, he began a career in construction and later went on to own several small businesses—some notably unique. He eventually joined the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825, where he worked until his retirement. Les found great joy in life's simple pleasures, including playing golf, watching sports, and cherishing every moment spent with family and friends.

Les is survived by sons, Stephen Gara and wife, Jennifer, along with their children, Peyton and Stephen; Chris Gara, Kristin Kluskiewicz and their son, Greyson; and Michael Gara and wife, Linda and their children, Briana and Blake. He also leaves behind three great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Gara, and niece, Deanna; as well as brothers, John Gara and Ron Gara, wife Robin and nephews, Michael and Brian.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., located at 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Township), followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com
