Liborio Mammana, 80, of Easton passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital surrounded by his family. Born on November 13, 1943 in Castel di Lucio, (Sicily) Italy, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Caterina (Rivilli) Mammana. He served in the Italian military before immigrating to the United States.
Liborio was a hardworking man. He was employed for 30 years as the custodian for Easton Area School District at nights while working part-time for Rightway Construction Co., Inc. during the day. He was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and San Placido Society. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and making wine.
Liborio is survived by his son, Giuseppe Mammana and wife, Alissa of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Caterina Koehler and husband, Brian of Washington Twp., PA; brother, Placido Mammana; grandchildren, Briella, Liborio, Marcus, Anna, and Dina.
In addition to his parents, Liborio was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Filippa (Viglianti) Mammana; daughter, Francesca Mammana; sister, Rosemarie Sortino; and brother Antonino Mammana.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 9:15 am until 10:15 am at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Ninth and Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA followed by interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
