Lois Breading Brown of Easton, PA died peacefully on March 27, 2012, following a courageous 14 year battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She was born on December 2, 1947, in Wilmington, DE, the first daughter of her late father, Master Chief Louis M. Breading, (USN ret.), and Elsie M. Wilson Breading. Lois lived happily in San Diego, CA and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii as a true Navy Brat which she was very proud to be called. In 1952, she returned to Delaware with her mother and father and a new baby sister, Linda. She attended primary schools in Wilmington, DE, and was a 1965 graduate of John Dickinson High School. Her entire working career was devoted to the banking industry, first with Wilmington Trust Company in Delaware, followed by several banks in Pennsylvania and finally Bank of America, N.A. She married Stanley P. Brown on August 1, 1966, and treasured their home in Newport, DE, where their two sons, Christopher and Stanley and one daughter Amy joined their family. The family relocated to Glenmore, PA in 1980 and Easton, PA. in 1985. Although Lois love of children started at an early age with the birth of her baby sister, she acquired her tender child caring skills during her teenage years as the neighborhood must have babysitter. Later, she and her husband became dedicated foster parents for the State of Delaware. Always wanting to be of service to others, Lois was a dedicated Cub Scout Den Mother. Later, she became active in the Forks Township Ambulance Squad and served as a compassionate respite volunteer with Hospice in Easton. Lois truly touched peoples lives in a way that cannot be expressed in words. She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Stanley P. Brown of Easton, sons Christopher S. Brown and wife Melissa of Effort, PA, Stanley L. Brown and wife Ann Marie of Easton, daughter Amy L. Freund and husband David of Easton, her mother Elsie M. Breading of Middletown, DE and sister Linda M. Kiesel and husband Allen of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Morgan, The First, Lindsay, and Aubrey Brown; Julia and Reilly Freund; Dalton and Justin Brown; April DArcy and husband David of Palm Coast, FL, and one great-granddaughter: Grace DArcy. The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the many professionals of The Temple Bone Marrow Unit at Jeanes Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, for their exceptional attention and care of Lois during her illness.
