Loretta M. Mele, 99, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 in St. Lukes VNA Hospice.

Born : Loretta was born in New York City, NY, a daughter of the late Eugene and Anna Maria (Downey) Morgan.

Personal: Loretta was married to the late Alphonso F. Mele before his passing in 1998. Prior to that, she was married to the late John Grant Clavens, Sr. before his passing in 1962.

Memberships: Loretta was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church.

Survivors: Loretta is survived by son Gerard Clavens and wife Barbara of Bethlehem Twp.; daughters Marianne Anderson of Palmer Twp., Barbara J. Cucciuffo and husband Antonino of Palmer Twp.; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to both her husbands, she is preceded in death by a son John Grant Clavens, Jr.; and a sister Muriel Morgan.

Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also Monday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA.
