Lori A. Hoffmann, 71, of Macungie, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Born on August 4, 1954, in Valley Stream, NY, she was the daughter of Audrey Dunker and Burt Thayer. Lori was predeceased by her parents, brother Donald John Thayer, and daughter Amy Elizabeth Hoffmann.
She graduated from Valley Stream Central High School in 1972. Lori was a homemaker for many years, as well as a preschool teacher in Milford, NJ, and a business owner of SaladWorks in Doylestown, PA. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Riegelsville, PA.
Lori is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard L. Hoffmann; children, Brian Hoffmann and his wife, Ashleigh, of Easton, PA; Kerry Hoffmann-Williams of Lithia, FL; Kevin Hoffmann and his wife, Lisa, of Nazareth, PA; Christopher Hoffmann and his wife, Jacquelyn, of Easton, PA; Bethany Hoffmann-Labant of Coopersburg, PA; sister, Diane Schmelz and her husband, Thomas, of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren Taylor, Jacob, Kaylie, Brandon, Cassandra, Emma, Bradley, Marissa, Brooke, Sofia, Bryce, Grayson, Mathilda, and Emmett. Lori was loved by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com .
During her hospital stay, Lori received numerous blood transfusions. After witnessing the vital role these generous donations played in her care, our family encourages donations to your local blood banks to support patients in need and to honor Lori’s life.
