Louise Cook Sweitzer, 96, of Forks Twp., PA passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Country Meadows in Forks Twp. Born on July 7, 1930 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles Frederick Cook and Annette Marguerite (Hord) Shrier.
Louise earned a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from Syracuse University in 1952 where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
She was a homemaker who raised six sons, and in her retirement volunteered in the gift shop at Lakes Regional General Hospital in Laconia, NH. In her quiet time, she enjoyed needlepoint, bird watching, jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
Louise is survived by her sons, John Sweitzer and his wife Kelly, Bob Sweitzer, Pete Sweitzer, Mike Sweitzer, Tom Sweitzer and his wife Sharon, Dave Sweitzer and his wife Barbara; sister, Brenda Rounds; and seven grandchildren: Katie, Michael, Libby, Maggie, Jules, Matthew, and Daniel.
In addition to her parents, Louise was predeceased by her husband, Charles; and sisters, Beverly Clifford, Audrey Fellows, and Sally Whalen.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.)
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made in the name of Louise to support the Volunteer Services program at Concord Hospital Health System.
