Lucy T. DeNicola, 94, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus. Born on December 13, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Dadio) Spero. She was a telephone operator in New York City before her retirement in 1993.
Lucy loved watching movies and television. One of her favorite things to do was sit outside and feel the warmth of the sunshine on a beautiful day. More than anything, Lucy loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Joseph DePalma of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters, Camille Arena of Staten Island, NY, Jennifer Battaglia and her husband, Frank of Palmer Twp.; grandchildren, Toniann Fama, Frank Arena, Eddie Arena, Michael Arena, Christopher Arena; great-grandchildren, Christina Chiariza, Joe Fama, Nicholas Fama, Rocco Fama, Michael Arena, Tonianne Ferone, Madison Arena, Samantha Arena, Philippo Arena, Michael Arena, Frankie Arena, & Gianna Arena; great-great-grandchildren, Sofia Fama, Audriana Fama, Joseph Chiariza, Michael Arena, Nicholas Fama, Vincent Chiariza, Joielynn Fama, Ralph Fama, Luca Arena, GabriellaJo Fama, Joseph Fama, Christian Chiariza, & Isla Arena.
In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her husband of five years, Anthony DeNicola.
