Name: Lucy A. Finken Varga, 86 of Palmer Twp., passed away Monday December 9, 2013 in New Eastwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wilson Boro. Born: She was born on February 6, 1927 in Macungie, PA a daughter of the late Charles Edwin and Jennie Sophia Wetzel Lewis. Personal: Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 2000. She was employed as an assembly worker for the former Wellers Electric in Palmer Twp. for 13 years. She later was employed for James River/Dixie Company in Forks Twp. for 10 years, retiring in 1989. Lucy enjoyed bowling at Bardon Lanes in Palmer Twp. where she was a long time league bowler. Memberships: She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Forks Twp and also attended St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Palmer Twp. for many years. Lucy also was involved with the Scout Mothers, Troup 17 of Easton and was active with the South Side Senior Center. Survivors: Lucy is survived by her sons, Paul A. Finken Jr. and wife Debbie of Easton, Jeffery Finken and wife Eileen of Forks Twp.; step-sons Richard Varga of Plainfield Twp, Theodore Varga and wife Bertha of Plainfield Twp., Carl Varga and wife Donna of Wind Gap; daughters Marjorie Drake and husband Edwin of Palmer Twp. and Alberta Deiter of East Stroudsburg. She is also survived by a sister Edna Prutzman of Coopersburg; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous step-grand and step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step-son Arthur, a brother Charles and sisters Beatrice and Sinia. Services: Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00pm until 6:00pm and on Friday from 10:00am until 11:00am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp.
