Luis (Lou) Ruiz, 52, of Easton, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson Campus. Born in the Bronx, NY on February 5, 1974, he was a son of Luis and Rose Marie (Burgos) Ruiz. Luis enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1994 and served his country for eight (8) years until 2002 when he transferred to the United States Air Force National Guard where he continued his dedicated service until he retired in 2018. Lou also worked as an Account Manager for Health Care Services in various nursing homes throughout New Jersey between 1997 and up until 2018. His most recent career path led him to FedEx Ground in the Lehigh Valley, where he first started as a Maintenance Technician in 2018 and then gained a promotion to Maintenance Service Manager from 2019 until his passing.

He married the love of his life, Andrea Clark on October 4, 2003, and they spent 22 years building amazing and loving memories together. Lou’s hobbies varied - from spending many an afternoon at the shooting range, to backpacking through the Adirondacks in New York, or taking trips down to Disney World. Within the past few years, he also found a love for cruises and he and Andrea visited Bermuda on more than one occasion. Lou also has an affinity for a good old fashion and prided himself on his own concoction - accompanied by the perfect square ice cube. Every year he looked forward to attending Musikfest in downtown Bethlehem.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sheri and Edward Halmuth; his sister, Kimberly Ruiz; brother, Anthony Ruiz and his wife, Miriam, and their two children - Ayden and Alexander. Lou is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, William and Sheila Clark. Lou leaves behind his German shepherd, Kimber, for whom he doted on and adored. Lou also leaves behind so many loving friends both within his local community as well as his extended military family.
