Margaret Emily Newton, 89, of Easton, PA passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Country Meadows Nursing Center. Born on August 24, 1934 in Kearny, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Jennie (Power) Steel. She was the wife of the late J. Richard Newton.

She worked as the bookkeeper for Public Service and ITC in Newark, NJ. She enjoyed bowling.

Margaret is survived by her brother, George Steel and wife, Pauline; nephew, Patrick Grillo and wife, Nathalie; nieces, Linda Bachman and husband, Chuck; Margie Caputo and husband, Phil; Margie Infante and husband, Felix; and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters, Gloria Voorhees, Joan Heffern; brothers, Walter and Fred Steel.
