Maria (Volpe) Salvero, of Richmond, VA formerly of Easton, PA passed away on Monday, June 21 peacefully in her sleep.

She was born in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily where she grew up with 8 brothers and sisters.  Her fondest memories of Sicily were spending time with them at the family farm.

In 1967 Maria came to America to visit her sister Catherine.  She met her future husband Samuel Salvero during that visit and remained in America.  They celebrated 53 years of marriage this year.  Maria was a proud member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church of Easton and the Holy Cross Chapter in Easton.  She was a career seamstress but lifetime delightful and beautiful person.  Maria had a contagious smile and laugh that brought joy to anyone who encountered her.

Maria is survived by her younger sister Lina and her two sons; Joe Salvero and wife Joanne of Richmond, VA, with children Amanda, Joe and Alex; Sam Salvero Jr. lives in Norfolk, VA with children Rey and Kamille. She was also a great grandmother of four.  She is loved and will be forever missed.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service at St. Anthony's Cemetery; Williams Twp.
