Maria Taormina, 75, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 in Easton Hospital.

Maria was born in Carini, Sicily, a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Angela Armetta.

Maria was married to Antonio Taormina with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage. She enjoyed cooking and sewing; and family was very important to her.

Maria was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Twp.

In addition to her husband, Maria is survived by her daughters Josephine Taormina of Palmer Twp., Angela Giardina and husband Gaetano of Patterson, NY; a sister Vincenza of Italy; a brother Vito of Italy; grandchildren Gabriella, Deanna, Julia and Allesandra. She is preceded in death by her sisters Santa and Francesco.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an additional hour on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA.
