Marian Taylor, three months shy of her 98th birthday, of Easton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Old Orchard Nursing Home, Bethlehem Twp.
Marian was born in Wales, Great Britain, a daughter of the late William Ellis and Catherine Mary (Medlicot) Evans.
Marian was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1936, and attended Muhlenberg and Lafayette College. She was a Bank Teller for First National State Bank of Milford, NJ, now known as Wells Fargo. Marian volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels, was a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop leader, and a Sunday School Teacher in her church. Her hobbies included doll collecting and fine arts, specializing in water colors, pencil drawing, pastels and oil painting; winning various art awards over the years.
Marian was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Milford, NJ.
Marian is survived by her daughters Doreen Taylor Crow and husband Donald of Corpus Christie, TX, Kathleen Hamburger of Toledo, OH, Eileen Taylor-Ganssle and husband Thomas of Palmer Twp., Holly Taylor Lemieux and husband Mark of Inwood, WV; her sister Emily Himmer of Winter Park, FL.; grandchildren Jennifer, Dain, Devin, Heath; great-grandchildren Quinten, Carson, Ali, Cooper, Brandon; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters Dyllis Rice, Nancy Rinehart, Bessie Oberly and Gwyneth Kalamar; and a brother David Evans.
A special mention for the friendship, love and support of Christian Lawson, and the staff of Country Meadows and Old Orchard Nursing Home in her last few years.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an additional calling hour on Sunday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park, Bethlehem, PA.
