Marianne Higgins

Marianne Higgins, 79, formerly of Lansdale, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Gracedale Nursing Home. Born in Allentown on February 5, 1947 she was a daughter of the late Gerald Leibert and Aloma (Lorrah) Compton.

She graduated from Easton High School and she later earned a bachelor’s degree from Westchester University. She also graduated from Churchman’s Business School. She from worked several jobs throughout her life including working as a recruiter for Penn University and as an accountant for HR Block. She also served in the United States Navy. Marianne enjoyed making ceramic pieces and briefly owned her own ceramic business. She loved to travel in her younger years, enjoying many, many cruises.

She is survived by her children, Jack Sales, Jr. and his wife, Kris; Amy Sayre and her husband, James; Amanda Santoro and her husband, Kevin; 7 grandchildren; and a sister, Jill Longarzo and her husband, Harry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Higgins and a brother, Gerald Leibert, Jr.
