Marie Clark, 86, of Bethlehem Township, PA passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.
She was the devoted wife of Frank J. Clark III. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in June. Marie was born and raised in Ashley, PA. She was a daughter of the late Anna (Afton) and Andrew Durako.
Marie was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Bethlehem. She was a member of the Hanover Township High School class of 1949. Marie worked for Schafer Bologna in Easton for many years as their bookkeeper and office manager before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, quilt-making, yard sales, traveling abroad and decades of summers at their Harveys Lake cottage. But above all, Marie cherished being a mother and grandmother. She has been an exceptional matriarch throughout the years, guiding with her practical wisdom and love, welcoming all to her table for delicious meals and much laughter.
This extraordinary woman will be missed by friends and neighbors but especially by her husband, Frank, their daughter Sharon Clark Carducci and her husband Bryan, their son Frank J. Clark IV and his wife Sharon, and their grandchildren Afton Marie Carducci Bratic and husband Dragoljub, Daryl Bryanna Carducci Goings and husband Matthew, Kailyn Clark and Frankie Clark. Marie is also survived by her sister Joan Durako Stanko and husband Joe of Temple Terrace, FL, her brother Andrew GusDurako and wife Joan of Mountain Top, PA, sister-in-law Kay Durako of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, and niece and many nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Thomas Durako.
Maries family is eternally grateful to the family and friends that have loved Marie throughout her 86 wonderful years and ask for your continued prayers for her. Visitation will be held at the Morello Funeral Home Inc. located at 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA on Sunday, November 26th from 6:007:00pm and Monday, November 27th from 8:009:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 27 at 10:00am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, First Street and Freemansburg Ave., Bethlehem, PA. She will be laid to rest in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
