Marie Scalzo, 88, of Palmer Twp. passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. Born on February 19, 1935 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Lisinichia) Stefano. Marie was married to Carl J. Scalzo for 36 years before his passing in 1991. She was a 1952 graduate of Wilson High School. She worked for over twenty years as the owner of Miss Marie's Daycare and has had continued contact with many of her children and their families over the years. She was also a professional hair dresser for many years.

Marie was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Easton. She also attended St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church, Martins Creek. Marie loved all animals and rescued many dogs throughout her life. Marie's greatest enjoyment in life was her family and friends, whom she loved spending time with. She adored her grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her son Carl J. Scalzo and his wife, Theresa of Palmer Twp; three grandchildren, Brett, Paige, and Maggie; sister, Grace Ehlers of Easton; and brother Joe Stefano and his wife, Barbara of Ocean City, NJ.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Teresa Scalzo in 2016.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 9:00 AM- 11:00 AM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Easton. Online condolences may be offered at
