Marion Mehlig, 85, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014 in her home. Born: Marion was born in New York City, NY, a daughter of the late George and Mae (McCarron) DeGraugh. Personal: Marion and her husband Gerard Mehlig celebrated 65 years of marriage last April 17. She was a graduate of Assissium High School in Manhattan, NY, class of 1945, where she received her secretarial degree. Marion was a secretary for Blue Printing Firm for 10 years where she met her loving husband Gerard, and later was a telephone operator, from where she retired. She enjoyed bowling and ceramics, but most of all her time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memberships: Marion was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, the Rosary Society at Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament of Bayside NY, and AARP. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Marion is survived by sons Edmund Mehlig and wife Terry of Palmer Twp., George Mehlig and wife Helen of New Windsor, NY, Gerard Mehlig, Jr. of Walden, NY; daughters Patricia Shellhorn of Baltimore, MD, Catherine Vitko and husband John of Palmer Twp., Linda Angelini and husband Mark of Bayside, NY; a sister Dianne Wrynn and husband Edward of Stoney Brook, Long Island, NY; twelve grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother Richard DeGraugh. Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and also on Monday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp.
