Mary L. Googie Bastinelli, 89, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in her home.

Mary was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosaria (Torcivia) Azzalina.

Mary was married to Walter Bastinelli, Sr. before his passing in 2013. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, class of 1945. Mary was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and affiliated with Angelic Sisters of St. Paul.

Mary is survived by her sons Walter Bastinelli, Jr and wife Laura of Nazareth, A. Richard Bastinelli and wife Cheryl of Lutherville, MD, David Bastinelli and wife Verna of Bethlehem; daughters Linda Smartschan and husband Glenn of Pittsburgh, PA, Rosemary Rinker and husband Thomas of Bethlehem Twp.; a sister Angela Anne French of Bethlehem Twp; grandchildren Brian, Bethany, Erin, Lauren, Adrienne, Ashley, Alyson, Aaron, Alexandra, Nicole and Shannyn; great-grandchildren Creelyn, Kyler, Natalie, Luca, Olivia and Emily. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters Arcangela Fritzo, Josephine Fatta; brothers Sabastiano, Joseph, Santo and Thomas Azzalina.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an additional calling hour on Wednesday from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
