Mary A. Gerstner, 97, of Colonia, NJ, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in Genesis Health Care, Westfield, NJ.

Mary was born in Pen Argyl, a daughter of the late John and Ann (Krystal) Martynick.

Mary was married to Russell J. Muretta before his passing in 1977, and later Frank Gerstner before his passing in 1988. She was co-proprietor of the former Mar-Ru Tavern in Easton. She enjoyed knitting, croqueting, and being in a card club. She was a member of St. Cecelia Church in Iselin, NJ.

Mary is survived by a son Bruce D. Muretta and wife Carmela of Colonia, NJ; grandchildren Nicole A. Beck and husband Daniel, Stephen J. Muretta and wife Marlene; great-grandchildren Alexandra R. Beck, Lauren N. Beck, Juliana M. Muretta and Gabriella L. Muretta. In addition to both her husbands, she is preceded in death by her brothers Russell, Walter, and Donald Martynick.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with an additional calling hour on Saturday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 370 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp.
