Matthew T. Roth

August 9, 1978 — December 20, 2025

Matthew T. Roth, 47, of Effort, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at his home due to medical complications. Born in Easton on August 9, 1978, he was the son of Richard Roth and Marianne Burd and her husband, Joseph.

Matthew was a 1996 graduate of Pen Argyl Area High School and went on to further his education at Northampton Community College, where he earned an associate degree in automotive technologies. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church.

He had a lifelong passion for anything with an engine. He loved cars and motorcycles, took great pride in working on them, and enjoyed riding whenever he could. His enthusiasm extended to a cherished Matchbox car collection and spending nice days four-wheeling. Above all, Matthew loved his family, especially his nieces and nephew, and took great joy in the time spent together.

Matthew truly believed that a dog is a man’s best friend. He cherished the time he spent with his dog, Copper, and is hopefully reunited with his beloved dog, Deuce.

In addition to his parents, Matthew is survived by his wife, Andrea Roth; sister, Nicole Rinaldo and her husband, Andrew; step-sister, Mary VanBuskirk and her husband Harold; step-brother, Patrick Burd; nieces and nephews, Aiden Rinaldo, Avery Rinaldo, Madeline VanBuskirk, Samantha VanBuskirk, Victoria VanBuskirk, Francesca Burd, and Kiersten Burd.
