Dr. Frank W. Favazza, MD., 80, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill.

Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Carmello and Sadie (Randazzo) Favazza.

Frank was married to the former Marilyn M. Sofarelli, before her passing in September 2015. He was a Psychiatrist serving as Director of Psychiatry at Easton Hospital and the VA, retiring from the VA in 2015. He was a graduate of Xavier High School, Holy Cross College, and received his Medical Degree from New York Medical College. Frank served as a Captain in the US Air Force. He was an avid Mets and Jets fan.

Frank was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, and a longtime member of Pomfret Club.

Frank is survived by his son, Frank Favazza Jr. and wife Sandra; his daughter, Diana Favazza; grandchildren Jessica, Michael, Lisa, Kelli; great-grandchildren Danial, Makala, Braden, Gianna, Destiny, and Eric.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1:00 pm in St. Jane Frances Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
