Name: Mildred C. Bechtel, 97 of Bethlehem passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 in Country Meadows, Bethlehem Twp. Born: She was born on March 15, 1913 in New Brunswick, NJ a daughter of the late David and Mary Davis Kelly. Personal: Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Martin J. Bechtel in 1994. She was a public health nurse for Middlesex County, NJ and private and general duty nurse at Warren and Easton Hospitals for many years. She was the co proprietor of the former Martin J. Bechtel Funeral Home of Easton before retiring in 1978. She was a graduate of New Brunswick High School class of 1931 and St. Peters School of Nursing in New Brunswick in 1934. Memberships: She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Easton and also the Catholic Daughters of America Lodge 348. Survivors: Mildred is survived by nieces and nephews. A daughter Mary Bechtel and brother William H. Kelly preceded Mildred in death. Services: A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 10:00am until 11:00am in Our Lady of Mercy Church (Former St. Josephs Church), 131 Davis St. Easton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00am in the church. Interment will be in St. Josephs New Cemetery, Easton. Arrangements are under the direction of the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp.
