Mildred C. Scarpino, 96, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Easton Hospital. Born: Mildred was born in Newark, NJ, a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Coscia) Cuono. Personal: Mildred was married to Frank Scarpino, Sr., before his passing in 2009. She was a supervisor for the former Mary MacIntosh Laundry of Easton, before retiring in 1976. Mildred was a graduate of West Side High School in Newark, class of 1936. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to all with a great zeal for living life to its fullest. Memberships: Mildred was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Easton, the Sunshine Lady for the Golden Age Club of Easton, and a member of the Ambassador Club. She enjoyed participating in bus trips to the different casinos and dinner shows that the clubs sponsored. Survivors: Mildred is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Arnold and husband Dave of Fort Smith, AK; a son Frank Scarpino, Jr. of Easton; a sister Mary Timpanaro of Bayonne, NJ; grandchildren Lori Arnold Burton and husband Chris of Fort Smith AK, Julie Scarpino Rosato and husband Matthew of Braintree, MA, Dr. David T. Arnold and wife Dr. Tracy Speight of Dallas, TX, Gregory Arnold and wife Bethany Ann of Gainesville, FL, and Tavi Lee Scarpino of Easton; great-grandchildren Nina Rosato, Evan Rosato, Isabel Arnold, William Howard, Thomas Burton, and Kyle Burton. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers Angelo, Jerry, John, Anthony (Tony), and Peter Cuono. Services: Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Trinity Episcopal Church, 234 Spring Garden Street, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
