Mildred Jean Whipple, 91, resident of Gracedale Nursing Home, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 in St. Lukes Hospital Anderson Campus. Born: Jean was born in Lyndhurst, NJ, a daughter of the late Vincent and Mildred (Barringer) Connolly. Personal: Jean was married to Walter Whipple before his passing in 1997. She was a graduate of Hackettstown High School, class of 1940. Memberships: Jean was a member of Phillipsburg Senior Center. Survivors: Jean is survived by her sons Kenneth Whipple and wife Agnes of Hawley, PA, Glenn Whipple and wife Laura of Palmer Twp., Paul Whipple and wife Jill of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter Audrey Kocsis and husband Stephen of West Easton, PA; sisters Patricia Moon of Vandergrift, PA, Bettyann Kries of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren Keith Nolder, Christine Nolder, Jean Marie Yurkovitch, Megan Whipple, Lindsay Whipple, Jayme Whipple, Grace Whipple, and Luke Whipple; great-grandchildren Kayla Fluck, Kelly Yurkovitch, Jacob Yurkovitch, Joshua Nolder, Matthew Nolder, and Nickolas Nolder; and a great-great-granddaughter Jillian Fluck. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a brother Vincent Harold Connolly and a grandson Darren Whipple. Services: Calling hours will be held on Monday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
